Council Member Aaron Stephens will be available for three hours at a local coffee shop this Saturday so that he can hear from East Lansing citizens, including on the Park Place proposal.

That proposal is for a $190 million real estate venture in which the City of East Lansing would partner with Vlahakis Development and Royal Apartments.

Stephens told ELi last night after City Council, “We’ve got this proposed project, and I just want to do everything I can to reach the people I represent.”

The invitation is to meet Stephens at Espresso Royale at 1500 West Lake Lansing Road (near Coolidge Road) anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Saturday, January 26.

Stephens has been the only Council Member offering this type of open invitation, where citizens can come and have a dialogue, ask questions, and make requests in an unstructured public environment.
