East Lansing residents will get at least three chances to see the candidates running for the Board of Education discuss the issues before the November 8 election.

The seven candidates, running for three seats, have agreed to take part in the League of Women Voters Forum taking place this Wednesday, September 28, at 7 p.m. in the Hannah Community Center. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan group which encourages voter participation.

The District Parent Council has invited the candidates to come to their meeting at 7 p.m. on October 12 at MacDonald Middle School.

And on October 18, the candidates have agreed to appear at the Glencairn Neighborhood Association meeting. It will also be held at 7 p.m. at the Hannah Community Center.

Candidates include current Board Trustees Kath Edsall, Erin Graham, and Hillary Henderson, Board Secretary. Also running are Robert Clark, Mike Conlin, Kyle Guerrant and Nichole Martin.

Each school board seat is a non-partisan, four-year term expiring December 31, 2020.
