Pump House Concerts: Gus Moon and Kate Kooser
Gus Moon and Kate Koozer are two of the Midwest’s up and coming singer / songwriters.
Gus is “equal parts genius, charisma, and humility. His songs are beautifully crafted” – National Road Magazine. From Indiana, his songs have a balance between darkness and light.
Kate, from Cleveland, “demonstrates a tremendous songwriting prowess for someone so young” – No Surf Mag. “She’s got a great future” – Eric Taylor.
They will perform a co-bill concert for you and you will be amazed! The future of roots music is in good hands with young people like these two coming up. They'll each be a star soon. $15 suggested donation.
The Pump House is a neighborhood-run listening room located in the heart of the Bailey Neighborhood in East Lansing (368 Orchard St.). It is a converted water-pumping house built by the WPA in the 1930’s. This intimate atmosphere provides a comfortable and involving listening environment; it’s a very special way to listen to music.
We only sell tickets at the door. Suggested donation is almost always $15 (occasionally $20). All money goes to the musicians. We only do one show a month, almost always on Sunday evenings.
