A portion of Harrison Road will be closed from today, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 6, due to emergency repairs of railroad tracks by Canadian National Railway Company.

The closure will take place just south of Trowbridge Road in the area near the East Lansing Amtrak Station.

Alternative routes have been suggested by the City of East Lansing. According to a press release from the City, “Northbound Harrison Road traffic will be detoured east on Service Road, north on Farm Lane and west on Trowbridge Road back to Harrison Road. Southbound Harrison Road traffic will be detoured east on Trowbridge Road, south on Farm Lane and west on Service Road back to Harrison Road.”

In July 2016, the crossings at Harrison Road and Hagadorn Road were closed simultaneously for an extended period of time as repairs were made. This week’s closure of the Harrison Road crossing is expected to be over by Friday.
