Music in the Garden Concert Series
Pull up your blanket or chair and enjoy the ambience of music, garden flora, and food during MSU’s outdoor concert series. The W.J. Beal Botanical Garden plays host to select groups presented by the MSU College of Music.
Featuring the works of French composers
Class&Jazz was founded in 2005 by Michigan State University graduate students Oleg Bezuglov, violin, and Natalia Bezuglova, piano. The idea of performing classical repertoire alongside with jazz masterpieces led in its foundation. Oleg and Natalia have appeared on stages in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, Ukraine, Poland, Kazakhstan, and USA. Class&Jazz is the winner of prestigious International competitions, including First Prize at the International D. D. Shostakovich’s competition of chamber music (Moscow, 2008). The group’s first CD-album was released in September, 2013 and featured recordings of Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 9 “Kreutzer” and Shostakovich’s Violin Sonata.

Event is free and open to the public. Off campus visitors can park in MSU Lot 62, in front of Spartan Stadium and IM West.

All concerts are rain or shine
The MSU College of Music is directly across the street from the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden and will host concerts if there is rain.
The Music in the Garden Series is presented by the Michigan State University College of Music with the coordination and support of the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden. Other partner organizations from MSU include Grand Parent’s University, the Office for International Students and Scholars, and the Eat At State Food Truck.
