The Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities Program as well as the School of Social Work at Michigan State University are organizing a student-led teach-in about migration. For their kick-off event, Bianka Huber, founder of “Der Laden,” a drop-in center for refugees in Frankfurt, will give a presentation about her work in English, followed by a panel discussion with local service providers serve immigrants and refugees in Lansing. This event will include time for participants to move through the MSU Broad’s current exhibition about the American dream, If Only We Could Dream Together, which runs Jan. 12 – May 5, 2019.

Bridges Not Walls: True Stories of Immigration in America will continue on April 5, 2019 in the Erickson Kiva with keynote speaker Betsy Fisher. © 2013-2020 East Lansing Info
