EL Farmer’s Market

EVENT DATE:
Sunday, June 17, 2018 - 10:00am to 2:00pm

2018 Market Season
The 2018 ELFM will take place June 3-Oct. 28, 2018 on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court.

The East Lansing Farmer’s Market is celebrating its tenth Birthday! This year, there are 36 new and returning vendors. The vendors and Market staff are all excited to continue the tradition of being 100% homegrown! That means that all of the food and household items for sale at the market have been made, grown or value-added in our lovely state of Michigan. This tradition is truly what sets the East Lansing Farmers Market apart from the rest.

Back by popular demand, yoga at the market also continues each week!

The East Lansing Farmer's Market (ELFM), a growers-only market, is located in an inviting, open-air park atmosphere, just steps away from the MSU campus and downtown East Lansing. Customers can fill their shopping bags with a diverse selection of fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and products, including vegetables, fruit, artisan bread, cheese, meat, coffee, maple syrup, honey, flowers and more.

“100% Homegrown Makes Us Different”
What makes the ELFM unique is that every item sold by vendors is 100% homegrown. Vendors must either grow their own produce or make their own products. Customers at the market enjoy authentic local Michigan goods.

Weekly Shopping Checklist
A shopping checklist is posted online each week to provide ELFM customers with a preview of what vendors will be selling at the upcoming market.

Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks Accepted
The ELFM accepts SNAP/Bridge cards at the market and allows customers to stretch their dollars with the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program. As a result of a grant from the Fair Food Network, the DUFB program "matches" SNAP/Bridge card dollars spent at farmer's markets. Customers will receive a dollar for dollar match (up to $20) that can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables grown in Michigan. For example, if a customer spends $20 on their SNAP/Bridge Card, they receive an extra $20 to spend at the market.
