The East Lansing Farmers Market (ELFM), a growers-only market, is located in an inviting, open-air park atmosphere, just steps away from the MSU campus and downtown East Lansing. Customers can fill their shopping bags with a diverse selection of fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and products, including vegetables, fruit, artisan bread, cheese, meat, coffee, maple syrup, honey, flowers and more.
The 2018 ELFM will take place June 3-Oct. 28, 2018 on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court.
What makes the ELFM unique is that every item sold by vendors is 100% homegrown. Vendors must either grow their own produce or make their own products. Customers at the market enjoy authentic local Michigan goods.
A shopping checklist is posted online each week to provide ELFM customers with a preview of what vendors will be selling at the upcoming market.
The ELFM accepts SNAP/Bridge cards at the market and allows customers to stretch their dollars with the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program. As a result of a grant from the Fair Food Network, the DUFB program "matches" SNAP/Bridge card dollars spent at farmer's markets. Customers will receive a dollar for dollar match (up to $20) that can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables grown in Michigan. For example, if a customer spends $20 on their SNAP/Bridge Card, they receive an extra $20 to spend at the market.

The market made its successful debut in 2009, bringing fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and products to community members throughout the region. The market has proven to be a huge hit ever since, drawing a crowd of an estimated 1,000 visitors to Valley Court Park on market days.
