Did someone shoot out a driver’s window at the intersection of Saginaw Street and Coolidge Road on Saturday afternoon?

That report came through on an East Lansing neighborhood discussion board, so we asked East Lansing’s Deputy Police Chief Steve Gonzalez what he could tell us about the incident, which happened on Saturday, August 3, between 3:00 and 3:10 p.m.

“We did not find any bullet fragments nor did we receive any other calls of a gunshot being fired at that location,” said Gonzalez today. “A canvass of the area did not yield any witnesses that could provide information as to what caused the window to break.”

The police are trying to figure out what happened.

Says Gonzalez, “We are hoping someone travelling through that intersection at the time of this incident may have witnessed something that will help us solve this case. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call us at 1-877-ELPD-TIP.” © 2013-2020 East Lansing Info
