On December 15, the ELPS Board voted to reopen the Red Cedar Elementary School building. Earlier this week at a Work Session, the Board discussed moving the current students and staff of Glencairn Elementary to the Red Cedar building, and converting Glencairn into a Headstart and preschool.

In the wake of these discussions and decisions, some have asked what those recently elected to the School Board said about their motivations and intentions during the election.

In November of 2014, Eli’s Schools reporter Rebecca McAndrews conducted a series of interviews with all of the ELPS Board candidates. The answers to the candidates at that time can be found in these articles:

Why are you running?

Why are you qualified?

What would you change?

What are your fiscal priorities?

What are your views on reconfiguration?

What are your views on diversity?
