2016 Young Playwrights Festival

The 2nd Annual Young Playwrights Festival will take place Friday, May 27 at 7 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road. The festival will feature plays written by three youth playwrights. View flyer.  

2016 Young Playwrights
The following plays have been selected for this year's festival:

  • "The Steinmetz Pink," written by Ava Brewer, directed by Megan Wesner
  • "A Life of Type," written by Audrey Tieman, directed by Ellison Winterstein
  • "The Elevator at the End of the World," written by Ellison Winterstein, directed by Shelby Brewer


Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth and can be purchased at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, front desk.

The 2nd Annual Young Playwrights Festival is supported by the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Inc.

All-of-us Express Children's Theatre

All-of-us Express Children's Theatre (AECT) offers youth the opportunity to take part in every aspect of theatre production from acting, technical production and costume design to set construction. AECT brings four major productions to the Greater Lansing community each year with the help of hundreds of youth from throughout the region.
