Academy Players, “England My England”

Venue: Fairchild Theatre, MSU Auditorium

Made up of musicians from the New York Academy of Sacred Mu­sic, the Academy Players will perform their program “England My England,” music for strings and harpsichord from Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Age through the Restoration, featuring works by English composers Henry Purcell, Matthew Locke, Orlando Gibbons and others.

Viola da gamba player Arnie Tanimoto, 2007 Okemos High School graduate, is joined by Academy Players Elliot Figg, harpsichord, Jeremy Rhizor, violin and Eric Tinkerhess, viola da gamba. All players have studied at The Juilliard School, among other music institutions, and perform regularly as soloists. 

Reserved seating: $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, $7 for students and those under age 18.
