Opening Celebration for East Lansing’s Pop Up Ice Skating Rink
A brief program celebrating the opening of East Lansing’s pop up ice skating rink will take place on Friday, Feb. 12 at 4:30 p.m. in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court.
Remarks will be made by East Lansing City Councilmember Erik Altmann, East Lansing Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Chairperson Peter Dewan and East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB) Chairperson Jeff Kusler. Media and community members are welcome to attend.
"MacDonald Middle School will be collecting packs of bottled water to send to Flint to help with their contaminated drinking water situation. This Water Drive, suggested by Charlie Meyers and supported by supported by the Student Initiators, [began Feb 8th] and the collection point will be in the cafeteria. The Water Drive will end this Friday, February 12. Please bring only sealed cases or packs of bottled water, or gallon jugs, not individual bottles. Your contribution is important and will be appreciated by our Flint neighbors!"
