1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Greater Lansing Chinese Association will present its Chinese New Year Celebration at Meridian Mall on Saturday. It's the local Chinese community's largest annual celebration, and kicking off the afternoon’s festivities at 1 p.m. is the traditional Lion and Dragon Parade. It will be  followed by live entertainment on the main stage in the Center Court, carnival games, calligraphy lessons and fun raffle prizes.

All-of-us Express Children's Theatre Presents: Lois Lowry’s Number the Stars.
Lois Lowry is probably most known for her youth books series – The Giver.

In this drama, adapted by Dr. Douglas W. Larche, and set in 1943 Denmark, Annemarie and Kristi Johansen face soldiers, interrogations, and danger as they try to help their friend Ellen escape across the ocean to safety in Sweden. Will their courage, ingenuity and acting skills eventually save the day?

The East Lansing Environmental Stewardship Program involves the community in the restoration of the City of East Lansing's park biotic communities by removing problematic invasive plant species and replacing them with native species. The program also seeks to share information with the community about different aspects of park ecosystems and how best to sustain them and implement them in their own front yards.
